So far I have written about a couple of manly things but I had to make a switch recently to something a bit more feminine, makeup. The Mrs. wanted some new makeup for her and she had been eyeballing that infomercial about bareMinerals makeup. I told her let me hit the web and see what we could find.
Well, we found a site that provides Bare Escentuals bareMinerals makeup and their MD Formulations skin care line.
The first thing that caught our eye vs their competition was the free shipping and then we noticed the prices. Not only are the comparable if not lower than Sephora, Ulta and Nordstroms they have a lot of the same products as well.
So we went through the order process, it was fast, simple and easy to use. The one thing we did notice is, they are a PayPal only compay, which isn’t to bad, I just know it does scare some people off, however we moved forward using our PayPal account (Remember, you do not need an account to pay, there is a section you can use a card with).
We received an order confirmation email as soon as we paid and we noticed it stated it would take 5 to 7 days after the order was placed before it shipped. We waited for 10 days, went back to Mineral Makeup Kits and clicked on the order tracking, they had listed in the notes the tracking number, we had already known this though because they had shipped it using PayPal shipping, which is a major benefit for paying with PayPal.
Now they were a little slower than what they said in their shipping and there wasn’t a ton of communication other than the auto responders that were related to the order. We feel we could have contacted them though and had an immediate response by how fast everything shipped out.
So far, our experience with Mineral Makeup Kits is a 3 out of 5, just average as they were not challenged and nothing special was sent with the order.
